Westhoff Motorsports Teams with MW Motorsports to Capture 2006 MORE Class 1 Championship December 5, 2006 - With the Barstow desert being in their backyards, Joey Westhoff & MW Motorsports headed out to Slash X this past weekend for the last MORE race of the season. Leading the points race by a mere 11 points, this determined team had their work cut out for them. In order to clench the championship they would have to rage through the desert and bring their Cadillac powered Jimco through the checkered flags before Jennifer Clemison and Mike Pacewiczh. Starting behind the wheel was Troy Johnson of The Fab School and his right hand man Joey Westhoff. This dynamic duo have teamed up all season long and were well prepared for their last 125 miles of the 2006 season. The roar of the Cadillac motor raged through the desert at the sight of the green flag. Despite having two flat tires and changing an alternator Joey and Troy handed the car to Rick and Tracy in third place. Mike Pacewiczh was only a few minutes in front of them as Rick raced around the track trying to make up precious time. With only two laps to go Rick and Tracy saw the number #135 Dunntech Motorsports of Mike Pacewiczh pulled over on the side of the racecourse. The #127 Class one was now running in second place and racing toward the checkered flag. The MW Motorsports Class 1 rolled their BFGoodrich rubber through the finish line only 5 minutes behind #117 of Alex Danze to capture second place in the MORE Toys for Tots Holiday 200, and secured their second MORE Class 1 championship in a row.
